Perma Farm means permaculture

Nature as a source of inspiration

Permaculture and as a design practice is based on a proven understanding of the relationships between living things and the natural blueprint that nature provides. Our goal is to recognize ecological connections and repetitions – so-called patterns and to distribute this system.

A permaculture farm can produce much higher quality products and often have much higher yields per hectare, up to 100 tons of different products. Compared to conventional agriculture, the numbers are almost unbelievably high.

Our aim is to use the potential of permaculture. Not, as is so often the case, through hobbyism ...

yes, our approach is to actually improve the world with these projects, because permaculture can do that very well, but for us it's now about developing kits and franchise models so that these systems pave the way in production in quantities and sales distribution for world markets.

VMS is the perfect partner to develop these models and bring them to life.

Farm Gorgorlou

Our first partnership farm in Senegal is the Niang family's “Gorgorlou” farm, whose pictures you see. Moustapha and Yasmin Naing's farm is a good example of permaculture. Built on sand for just a year and using only natural methods, it is one hectare of rich plantings, mixed fruit trees, Manioc with plant crops such as bananas, papayas and eggplants, herbs and Chillies but also two fish ponds with tilapias, which runs with a sophisticated Pump system /with Solarenergie of course, carries nutrients into an Aquaponics system and onto the farm. Pigs are also bred, which, as you can see, feel really good and also make their contribution in terms of fertilization. The fish and pigs are fed what the farm produces such as fruits and grasses and with residue from the surrounding area such as peanut shells, fish leftovers from the local fish factory and even sepia shells and seaweed that Moustapha collects on the beach. All in all, a well-rounded thing, so to speak, a circulatory system, an exemplary result after just one year, which can not only be expanded in the future but also used as a model farm and system to imitate and distribute. As thier partner on their side, we will soon be launching an online shop, where customers from Germany for exemple can even order packages from the farm. Stay tuned!
